דרך העלייה לרגל לירושלים היא מיזם קהילתי-תרבותי-תיירותי
מסלול הליכה בן 111 ק"מ המחבר בין נמל יפו לשער יפו בירושלים.
זוהי דרך הליכה קהילתית, תרבותית ותיירותית, המחייה מסורת עתיקה של הליכה לירושלים ומעניקה לה ביטוי עכשווי.
הדרך עוברת בערים, ביישובים, ביערות, בכרמים, באתרי מורשת ובמנזרים, ומפגישה את ההולכים עם הקהילות, הסיפורים והאנשים שלאורכה. המסע נמשך שבעה ימים המשלב הליכה, לינה, סיפורים, מפגשים, היסטוריה וחוויות ייחודיות.
במקטע השלישי של הדרך נכנסים ההולכים אל מרחבי מטה יהודה, שם משתנה קצב המסע. בין יערות, כרמים, יקבים, מעיינות ויישובים הם פוגשים נוף ייחודי, סיפורי מורשת, קהילות מקומיות ואנשים המעניקים לדרך את אופייה המיוחד.
לאורך הדורות צעדו אנשים לירושלים מתוך מגוון של מניעים – רוחניים, תרבותיים ואישיים. כיום הדרך פתוחה לכל אדם, מכל רקע ואמונה, המבקש לצאת למסע אישי המשלב היסטוריה, תרבות, טבע, מפגש אנושי וגילוי, תוך היכרות עם האנשים והקהילות שלאורך הדרך.
The Way to Jerusalem Pilgrimage Route is a community, cultural, and tourism initiative.
It is a 111 km pilgrimage and walking route connecting the ancient Port of Jaffa with Jaffa Gate in Jerusalem.
The route revives the ancient tradition of walking to Jerusalem and reimagines it for the present day as a contemporary pilgrimage experience. It offers a unique opportunity to
discover the land, its history, and its people through the simple act of walking.
Passing through cities, villages, forests, vineyards, heritage sites, and monasteries, the route bringspilgrims and walkers into meaningful encounters with the communities,
stories, and people who live along the way. The journey lasts seven days and combines walking, accommodation, storytelling, local encounters, history, and memorable
experiences.
In the third section of the route,pilgrims enter the landscapes of the Matte Yehuda region, where the pace of the journey naturally begins to change. Surrounded by forests,
vineyards, wineries, natural springs, and rural communities, they discover a remarkable landscape rich in heritage, meet local residents, and experience the unique character
that defines this part of the pilgrimage.
For centuries, people have journeyed to Jerusalem for many different reasons spiritual, cultural, and deeply personal. Today, the Way to Jerusalem is open to everyone, welcoming
pilgrims from every faith, culture, and background to embark on a personal journey that weaves together history, culture, nature, human connection, and discovery, while
experiencing the diverse communities and people who bring the route to life.
